What is Plasma Fibroblast Skin Rejuvenation by BrowBeat Studio treatment?
Often described as a soft surgery, it is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment to dramatically tighten the skin. It also stimulates the creation of new fibroblast cells which produce collagen.
How does the Fibroblast treatment work?
A small handheld device harnesses the power of plasma energy to emit a small electrical arc between the tip of the unit and the skin. The arc impression causes a superficial injury to the epidermal layers of the skin and transmits heat to the deeper layers of the dermis. This causes a proliferation of new fibroblast cells, which in turn, produce healthy new collagen and elastin fibers. Collagen I & III continue their regenerative process, over the next 6-8 weeks, resulting in plumper, tighter skin.
Is consultation required?
We offer free phone consultations, seven days a week, so long as it’s during normal business hours. A second in-person consultation will be performed at the time of your appointment, prior to services being performed. Please take advantage of the free phone consultation to answer any pre-appointment questions. The secondary consult will be used to customize your treatment, for the best results, all of our treatments are individually tailored to the client’s unique needs.
How is Fibroblast treatment performed?
After a consultation with your Esthetician, she will apply an anesthetic to the target area. once the anesthetic has taken effect, the procedure will begin. Our revolutionary device emits plasma energy, an ionized gas, from the tip of the unit, which hovers just above the skin being treated. This creates an electrical arc that leaves arc impressions on the skin. These superficial impressions create a wound response, stretching the skin as it heals resulting in tighter, smoother, younger looking skin.
How long is the Fibroblast procedure?
The answer will be different for everyone, it will depend on the number of areas being treated as well as the size of the areas, additionally, everyone’s skin responds differently to the procedure. A safe bet is planning to spend between two and four hours at your appointment.
Does the treatment hurt?
Your Esthetician will do everything possible to ensure a comfortable and easy treatment. She will apply a numbing agent to the entire treatment area. Although our clients describe this numbing agent as being incredibly effective, a small amount of discomfort is still present for some people (usually described as itchiness). If discomfort increases or is not tolerable please let your Esthetician know and she will stop and re-apply the numbing agent. That said, the treatment is generally well tolerated.
Are there any side effects after the treatment?
You may experience some minor symptoms of healing such as, swelling and occasional weeping of lymph fluid on days 1-4 (mainly in thinner skin areas like the eyes and neck). These are a normal part of the healing process and to be expected. Also, clients sometimes feel itchiness. It is important not to scratch! If needed, take a clean Q-tip and pat the itchy area. Brown crust will begin to flake or fade off typically around days 5-7 (although this happens faster for eyes). The skin underneath may appear pink and feel extra tender, again this is normal and expected. Although some residual pinkness might still be present, most people will heal completely after 7-14 days.
